Standard Participant: $550
WBMA Student: $450*

The price reflects the cost of participation and use of WBMA gear. Please contact us if you have questions about what equipment is available for use and what you should bring.

*Students who are actively enrolled in private lessons throughout the program will be eligible for the WBMA Student price.

2026 SUMMERFEST EVENT SCHEDULE

Students perform multiple live shows throughout the summer, including a performance at Summerfest, one of the largest music festivals in the country. Additional performances often take place at some of the area's best local venues, such as the Historic Bend Theater, Music on Main, Game Over, and the Washington County Fair.

The program has been running for over a decade, and many local musicians first got their start as students in previous years.

This year's program is a three-month experience that brings students together to learn what it really takes to perform in a band. Students rehearse weekly, collaborate with other musicians, and develop the skills needed to perform confidently as a group.

Each year, about 4 to 6 bands are formed, with around 4 to 7 students in each group. Program teachers determine the final lineups and work to balance skill levels and musical styles so every band has the best possible experience.

Groups meet for weekly 90-minute rehearsals at the WBMA, with additional practices scheduled as needed to help each band prepare for their performances.
